Serving Central Texas
Including the Richland Chambers Lake Area

Installation:

Before installing a system we send a licensed engineer to the property to do a site and soil evaluation and design the appropriate system based on their findings. Every system installed must be designed by an engineer.

Repairs:

Diagnosing and repairing existing systems is a very important part of our business. We will work with you to determine the most effective and effecient solution in effort to prevent any problems in the future.

Maintenance Contracts:

The state requires that all aerobic septic systems maintain a contract with a licensed maintenance company. Many LPD systems located in certain area's are also required to maintain a maintenance contract.

This service includes three routine inspections of your system annually in most cases. At each visit, our certified service technician will thoroughly inspect the unit to ensure that it is functioning properly, report their findings to you and the proper governing authority in writing and list on this report any needed repairs or additional items you may need to address with the system.

Any repairs that need to be done that are not covered under the Maintenance Contract are never completed without prior consent from the system owner.

Conventional Septic Systems

A conventional septic system consists of a septic tank and perforated drainfield pipe. The sewage enters the tank and the solids settle on the bottom of the tank, the grease floats to the top and then it is partially treated by anaerobic bacteria. If the system is properly designed, the partially-treated sewage gravity flows from the primary compartment, where most of the solids are removed, through a baffle into the clarifier compartment and out of the tank form the clear zone (level at which the fewest solids are present) to the drainfield. Once it reaches the drainfield it is left for nature to take it course.

Several factors are to be considered when considering the type of Septic System to be installed. The conventional systems work well when there's plenty of land to accomodate the drainfield, when the soil is adequate, as-well-as other factors. Many cases your local government may be able to inform you of what system you should have, or that is recommended.

Aerobic Wastewater Treatment System

What is an Aerobic Wastewater Treatment System?

In smaller and/or rural communities where homes are spaced apart, the costs of central sewer systems are often not cost-effective. So many homeowners rely on septic systems or other systems that treat and dispose of household wastewater onsite. Conventional septic systems will not work for some areas. Those areas require Aerobic systems. Aerobic systems are very similar to conventional septic systems in that they both use natural processes to treat wastewater. However, unlike conventional (anaerobic) treatment systems, the aerobic treatment process requires oxygen.

Aerobic units use a mechanism to inject and circulate air inside the treatment tank. This mechanism uses electricity to operate. These systems tend to be more costly and require routine maintenance. When they are properly operated and maintained, aerobic systems can provice a high quality wastewater treatment alternative to septic systems.

Why is an Aerobic Wastewater Treatment System a Good Choice?

There have been home aerobic systems in the U.S. for better than 50 years, however their use has been limited due to the widewpread use of spetic systems. Septic tank soil absorption systems are cost effecient and easy to maintain. They are the most common onsite wastewater treatment systems used in rural areas. However, there are households for which a septic system may not be the best wastewater treatment option. Some homes may not have enough land or appropriate soil conditions to accommodate the soil absorption drainfield. In some communities the water table is too high to allow the drainfield to give adequate treatment to the wastewater before it is returned to the groundwater. However, one of the most common reasons that aerobic wastewater treatment units are chosen by communities is to replace failing septic systems. Failing septic systems are a major source of groundwater pollution in some areas. If a failed septic system needs to be replaced or if a site is inappropriate for conventional systems, aerobic wastewater treatment becomes a viable option.
